Questions about iPads

Questions for Teachers
1.      What do you think about giving kids iPads? Is it a bad idea?
2.      How will the iPads affect how the classroom works?
3.      If you had to give the students a kind of technology, what would you give them?

Mrs. Greenwood
1.      “Fantastic, creative, educational tool.”
2.      “It allows students to have a lot more independence, but I think teachers have to keep in mind that not all students are comfortable with the technology so we have to be patient.”
3.      “I would give them the holographic projections that Princess Leia gave R2D2.”

Mrs. Mellenbruch
1.      “It was the best idea ever!”
2.      “It gives me the option of different ways to do assignments, more games and less paper being used.”
3.      “Google cardboard, and virtual field trips.”



Mrs. Kirk
1.      “I thought I would hate it, but I love it.”
2.      “A lot less paper. We submit work online. I can see every answer you write in your bell ringer so I know who understands it and who doesn’t immediately. That’s huge.”
3.      “I would do the iPads, the only thing I don’t like about them is that don’t print.”



Mr. Morgenroth
1.      “I think that they are great tools especially for our class, now that we have the right app!”
2.      “It won’t affect how our classroom works daily, but it helps with testing and the right app will help with practice.”
3.      “An automatic daily checklist.”


Mr. Corcoran
1.      “I like I-books, but I don’t mind giving the kids iPads. They teach me new things everyday about the iPads.”
2.      “Directly in class I don’t know how it will affect the class, but I can assign them work on Big Ideas Math, see if they need one on one help, and they get immediate feedback.”
3.      “I would give them an I-book. The biggest reason I would give them I-books is because you can print, they have an actual keyboard, and actual programs like word.”

Aniston, 6th grade
1.      “Yes, because we don’t have to wait for each other when using classroom iPads.”
2.      “Teachers will have us use blackboard for assignments.”
3.      “My least favorite part about having iPads is that you can’t change the case.”

Kaijah, 6th grade
1.      “Yes, I like having iPads because they are useful.”
2.      “For work.”
3.      “There is a lot of apps that I like.”

Leora, 8th grade
1.      “Yes, I think it’s cool that we don’t have to use paper for every assignment anymore.”
2.      “Assignments.”
3.      “How strict it is.”


Estella, 7th grade
1.      “Yeah there pretty cool because you can look up anything.”
2.      “They make us look up stuff and do projects on them.”

3.      “I lost it two times already and I had a panic attack.”
