Destruction At Munchers

                                                         By Ben Buffington

You all know Munchers Bakery, but what you don't know is that there was some destruction that happened a year ago. I interviewed an employee at Munchers that was there the day of the damage.

Warhawk Talk. What damage did the West students do?

Munchers. They were dancing on the sink in the girls’ bathroom and the sink gave away crashing onto the tile floor damaging the sink, floor, and wall.

Warhawk Talk. How much money did it take to repair the damage?

Munchers. $375.

Warhawk Talk. How did you know it was West kids?

Munchers. They were part of the after school group on Wednesdays and kids told me they were from West.

Warhawk Talk. After this incident do you have a limit of the amount of kids you let in at a time?

Munchers. Yes, normally three and if they can behave themselves there can be more than five. They can get rowdy sometimes but it's not their fault because we have such a small space.

Warhawk Talk. Is there anything you would like to add?

Munchers. This has also happened three to four years ago and that I would just like them to respect us. Sometimes I tell them to use their indoor voice and they say, "What's that?" And when I tell some of them to leave or sit down and they don't listen they just walk away from me.

When I was in there I noticed that one kid was throwing a football and one was doing the water bottle flip challenge and when the kid who was flipping the bottle was asked to leave he said, "For flipping a water bottle? Wow!" But there was a kid who made a mess on accident and he cleaned the mess up and said he was sorry.

So please respect everyone's property and remember when people see you acting bad or good they see a stranger but when they know you are from West or you have a West shirt on they see West Middle School. Represent us well, and remember West is Best!
